Coffee is grown most of in highlands of Mt. Nagen providing for coffee growing climate and volcanic soil.
In Papua New Guinea, there is a mountain range of about 4000 m in the center of the island, mostly highlands. Coffee beans are produced at an altitude of 1,800 m to 2,000 m.
Therefore, the temperature difference between day and night is intense and it is said that "The climate of one year is repeated in the highlands of Papua New Guinea".
